Finding the right translator goes far beyond language proficiency. At CCC, every translator goes through a structured evaluation process that includes translation tests to assess not only their language skills, but also their ability to understand context, tone, and the unique storytelling style of comics, manga, and webtoons. Each test is evaluated by an independent third-party reviewer to ensure it meets professional standards. Depending on the project’s requirements, we may also conduct interviews to assess speaking proficiency, verify the candidate’s experience, and confirm that their skills and qualifications align with the information provided in their CV.
Selection, however, is only the beginning. We continuously monitor the performance of our translators throughout our projects by reviewing quality, consistency, client feedback, and adherence to deadlines. Translators who consistently deliver excellent work are prioritized for future assignments, while our evaluation process helps us identify opportunities for improvement across the team. This allows us to maintain a reliable pool of experienced linguists while ensuring that every project is assigned to translators best suited for its content and audience.
